Holsworthy archers compete for England at World Bowhunter Championships, with one taking home a silver medal

THREE Field Archers from the Holsworthy area were part of an England team which recently competed in the World Bowhunter Championships, held in Godollo, Hungary.

With the highest entry ever in these World Championships, all the classes were hotly contested, and it’s a great achievement in itself for Trevor Vanstone, Jane Walter and Trevor Walter to have even been involved in.

The competition involved four days of shooting on a variety of courses in blistering heat.

Whilst Trevor Vanstone and Jane didn’t place on the podium, Trevor Walter shot consistently well over the four days and gained a silver medal in his Bowhunter Compound Class.
