LAUNCESTON Ladies will face the acid test tomorrow afternoon when they visit Ivybridge in the Women’s Championship South West Two division (1pm).
The Cabettes make their shortest journey of the season to face a Ivies side who have six wins from six and have only dropped a point in the process.
However, Launceston, who have three wins and as many defeats from their six outings since promotion, are in good shape and travel full of confidence having eased past bottom side Oxford Harlequins last Sunday.
They make just one change as Suz Franks is preferred to Madi Vine on the left-wing, while lock Meg Arnold and scrum-half Amy Warman are set to make their 50th appearances for the club.
If Launceston were to pull off a shock victory, earn a bonus point and stop Ivybridge from doing likewise, they would end the day within five points of the Devon-based side.
LAUNCESTON LADIES at Ivybridge Ladies: Jess Bartlett, Grace Tucker, Meg Tucker, Abbie Smith, Madi Vine, Rachel Hicks, Amy Warman; Libbie Cole, Jenna Arnold, Kim Upcott (capt); Meg Arnold, Rhian Thomas; Jess Harrison, Caitlyn Hancock, Alex Hutchings. Replacements: Poppy Speare, Ann-Marie Risdon, Jess Ninnis, Abigail Matthews, Jenna Cowling, Poppy Karkeek, Madi Vine.
