The St Endellion and St Peter’s Fete was held on August 12 and a fine, sunny and hot day greeted all those who organised and took part.

The event was opened by Jon Cleave of the Fishermans Friends and the Wadebridge Town Band played adding to the cheerful atmosphere. The Fete attracted the usual great crowd who made the most of the many stalls and games.

The pupils of Port Isaac Primary Academy contributed excellent paintings for the children’s competition which will now be exhibited in St Peter’s church.

A spokesperson for the organisers said: “The grand sum of just over £ 4000 was raised on the day which is very pleasing.

“Thanks are due to the excellent committee and helpers on the day and the wonderful attendees at the fete.”
