THE 2025 Bude Lifeboat Run was held on Wednesday, June 11 with dozens of local runners taking part.
The race which is listed as six miles for the senior event, is part of the Cornwall Multi-Terrain Race Series and saw 449 runners finish, while the one-mile junior run saw prizes handed out for each school year group.
All funds raised from the event go to the RNLI who dedicate their time to saving lives at sea.
The main race itself was won by Joshua Hasson in a time of 34:41, 78 seconds ahead of Truro Running Club’s Steve Reynolds in second who was just three seconds clear of Bideford AAC’s Finley Cloke.
The fastest lady over the line was Bideford AAC’s clubmate Davina Brown in a time 45:07, 18 seconds ahead of Bude Surf Life Saving Club’s Maddie Fallon. Perran Trail Runners’ Anne Matthews (45:52) was third.
There was plenty of success for host club Bude RATs, Bradworthy Runners, Bude Surf Life Saving Club, Camelford Up and Running and Launceston Road Runners as they all saw at least one member enjoy a top three finish in their respective age groups.
