The other game on Saturday saw Pensilva start their campaign with a 6-2 victory over visiting Wadebridge Town Reserves.

The hosts led inside three minutes through striker Sam Rogers and led 3-0 at the break with Chris Snowdon (22) and Jay Fisher (30) extending the advantage.

Wadebridge were much-improved after half-time and Sam Richards scored twice, but Rogers (58), Fisher (85) and Snowdon (87) also grabbed their doubles.

On Tuesday night (August 19), Launceston did get their first points on the board with a 4-0 success over Liskeard with Morgan Jones (2), Jack Stephens and Tyler Branch on target in a much-improved performance.
