KILKHAMPTON tightened their grip on third in Premier Division East following a 4-2 victory over St Austell Reserves at Lamb Park on Saturday.
Kilk saw Jay Needham net twice with Adam Sleeman and Ben Thomas also on target as they moved two points clear of Polperro who were held by Bodmin Town.
Callington Town Development moved four points clear of second bottom St Austell after coming back from 3-1 down to draw with mid-table North Petherwin.
The home scorers were Blake Tancock, Fin Harrison and Calum Courts with the Badgers netting via Jack Japes, Kieran Gerry and Alfie Rowland.
Altarnun were beaten 5-1 at St Mawgan as only Max Ellis’ consolation gave the Nuns something to cheer.
Boscastle produced a fine result as they saw off Division One East leaders Newquay Reserves at Forrabury Park.
The Castle won it 3-2 with all of their goals coming in the first half via Olly Edwards, Jordan Blanchard’s deflected free-kick and Sam Haddy after Edwards’ flick had sent him clear.
Launceston Reserves earned a vital victory in their survival battle as they secured a 5-1 success at their Liskeard Athletic counterparts.
The Clarets led 3-0 at the break before staying solid after the restart. Nick Oldaker (2), Connor Traynor, Josh Chidley and Hayden Gay were all on target.
St Teath are enjoying an excellent season and thrashed bottom side St Dominick 8-0 which included former Camelford defenders Adam Sleep and Leighton Carhart sharing five of the goals. Carhart grabbed a hat-trick off the bench.
Lifton are out of the George Evely League Cup following a 5-1 defeat at one of the favourites for the competition in Nanpean Rovers.
Division Two East leaders Bude Town were held to a 1-1 draw at Mevagissey despite Ryan Vanstone’s opener, while Week St Mary lost 3-1 at Lanreath.
Nathan Smith scored twice for Delabole United who lost a seven-goal thriller at Newquay Thirds in Division Three East, while Darren Webber and James Mellan-Matulewicz netted for Boscastle Reserves in their 4-2 reversal at Padstow United.
North Hill and St Minver had an afternoon to forget as they both lost 9-0 to St Neot and St Columb Major respectively in Division Four.
