LAUNCESTON are up to fifth in the Division Five table after easing past their struggling Holsworthy counterparts by eight wickets on Saturday.
Ryan Christophers William Mansfield, Oliver Keates and Olivia Jones helped dismiss the away side for just 76, with only Tyler Rowe (19) reaching double figures.
In reply, Phil Spry was 30 not out as the winning runs came in the 23rd over.
Openers James Cawsey and Richard Watson both struck unbeaten centuries as South Petherwin Seconds thrashed St Austell Fourths in Division Six East.
Cawsey’s 137 contained 16 fours and three sixes, while Watson struck 13 fours in his 105 as they totalled 296-0 in 40 overs.
Ollie Petersen (2-30) and James Berry (4-37) shared six wickets in the Saints’ 134-8.
Bude Seconds won by five wickets at Werrington Fourths who could only muster 142-8 despite Jeremy Conway’s quickfire 34. Mark Whitefield (2-26), Mike Ellis (2-36) and Derek Piper (2-25) shared six wickets.
Piper then smashed 47, before steady contributions from Michael Taylor (40) and Mike Ellis (36) proved key. Will Conway (2-10) and Emma Horrell (2-21) bowled tightly.
Tintagel Seconds lost by three wickets at leaders St Stephen Twos.
Only Joe Parsons (42) and Simon Harrison (33) made much headway in their 147 all out, while with the ball, Harry Daly (2-25) and Ollie Ansell (3-28) shared five wickets.
Launceston Thirds enjoyed a remarkable day at home to St Stephen Thirds.
Johnny Knight and Andrew Baker batted through their 40 overs for a massive 308-0 which included Knight’s 171, while Baker was still there on 108.
Twelve-year-old Harley Knight then claimed five wickets for just seven runs as their St Stephen counterparts were dismissed for just 51.
Luckett Thirds were all out for 103 chasing 162 at Buckland Monachorum Seconds with Keira De Villiers and Korben Rogers sharing four wickets, before Martin Budge’s 28 in reply.
