THE ‘Halwill Flower and Produce Show’ was held on Saturday, September 3, and this year saw a wonderful selection of exhibits.
Halwill is rumoured to have held a show back in the 1950s and in 1987 a committee got together with the view to restarting the flower and produce show.
Since then there has been a show every year, either in the last week of August or the first week of September — depending on when the bank holiday is.
This year, on Saturday, September 3, the show was held once again with rows of exhibits ready for the judges to award prizes to. Margaret Darke presented those lucky winners with their trophies.
