MEMBERS of Holsworthy Lions gathered in the town square to put up the town's Christmas trees on Sunday.

Holsworthy & District Lions began paying for, and putting up, the Christmas trees in Holsworthy town square in the late 1970s, and have done so since.

This year the trees were kindly donated by the Stevens family of Holsworthy.

Lions put up four trees around the old pump and not forgetting the big star on top. The Christmas lights will be turned on this Saturday (November 29) by MP for Torridge and West Devon Geoffrey Cox.

The Lions will also be putting on a barbecue and there will be bands and entertainment in the Square from 4pm.
