DRIVERS in North Cornwall are set for lengthy diversions as 12 days of roadworks prepare to get underway.
Motorists travelling between Stratton and Holsworthy are set for longer journeys as Cornwall Council undertake road maintenance along the A3072.
Between July 6 and July 18, a stretch of the road between Howells Road and Red Post will be closed for maintenance between 7pm and 6am.
During the 12-day stint, drivers will be diverted along an alternative route, which is set to add more than 20 minutes to journeys and over 12 miles.
Drivers heading towards Stratton will be directed up the B3254 towards Grimscott, heading along to Kilkhampton, before joining the A39 and heading down to Stratton.
Despite the closure, Cornwall Council has confirmed that pedestrian access will be maintained to properties.
