THERE are new ‘PayPoint’ locations in Holsworthy where the public can pay their Torridge bills.

The locations in Holsworthy are; Bude Road Garage, McColls, Co-op store, Southcott Stores, Jewells Cross and the service station in Bridgerule.

Last year Torridge District Council announced that from April 1, they would no longer be accepting cash payments at their council run offices.

The alternative option of making cash payments at Holsworthy’s local Post Office has existed for many years, and this will continue, but this will now be supplemented through the new PayPoint network systems.

The PayPoint network was established in 1996 and offers a simple, reliable and secure method to pay bills. Since March 11, the council has been sending out bar coded bills for things like council tax and these can be simply scanned at PayPoint locations during any payment transaction.
