A WELL-KNOWN local figure has joined the Holsworthy office of South West law firm, Coodes Solicitors.
Chartered legal executive, David Smith, is the newest member of the residential property team, advising people buying and selling homes in West and North Devon.
David’s family has lived in the Holsworthy area for generations. He joins from North Devon firm, Peter Peter and Wright, where he has worked as a legal executive, specialising in property, since 2004.
Prior to his legal training, he ran a local building society branch. He has recently become a trustee of Holsworthy Community Property Trust and was, for many years, a governor at Sutcombe Primary School, which his own children attended.
Speaking of his appointment, David said: “Coodes has a very good reputation, and I have always enjoyed working with them, so it’s great to be joining the team. Holsworthy is a great place to live and I am proud of my family’s long history in the area. Working for Coodes puts me at the heart of the community.”
David will work alongside Kate Bayley. He will also support partner, Pam Johns, in growing the firm’s presence in West and North Devon.
Pam said: “Our Holsworthy team is growing and with David joining us, we can offer an even better service to the local community. Having worked with David over many years, I hold him in extremely high regard. He shares our ethos of excellent customer service, as well as having that all-important local knowledge that we value so much. We’re delighted that David is koining us to strengthen and enhance our team.”
David is the latest new recruit for Coodes Solicitors.
The firm will be announcing further opportunities to join its growing residential property teams across Cornwall and West De
