Students at St Catherine’s C of E Primary School in Launceston surrounded themselves with stories this week after taking a trip to Launceston Library.

On Friday, December 8, students enjoyed stories, songs and much more during their trip to the local library.

Pupils got to explore the library, looking at all the different topics and sections, then dressed up and had a go at building Christmas Lego models.

A spokesperson for the school said: “Reading for pleasure is a high priority for St Catherine’s and we had eleven parents take the morning off to come with us and enjoy the library space with us together.

“It’s so important for young children to see their families comfortable with a good book, and there’s no better time to snuggle up together and read than at Christmas!”
