THIS summer, 1st Launceston Scouts were lucky enough to be able to go on a trip to the Launceston Steam Railway, thanks to the generosity of the Rotary Club.
Scout member Florence Tape, 12, said: “Excitingly, we went on a train ride to Newmills, had a picnic lunch and then played games, including: croquet, football and parachute games. After an enjoyable afternoon, we caught the train back to Launceston and had a guided tour of the museum and an ice cream!
“It was a great day out for the Cubs, Scouts and Explorers and our families - we are all extremely grateful to generosity of The Rotary Club in Launceston, who funded our steam railway trip!”
