NOVEMBER will bring the annual time of Remembrance in Holsworthy, as veterans join together with dignitaries and the community to give their thanks to and remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy today.

Details have been released ahead of the Holsworthy Remembrance Parade, which will see a parade start and end at the Holsworthy Square, visiting several locations in the town on the way, including a wreath laying service at the war memorial adjacent to St Peter and St Paul’s Church.

A spokesperson for Holsworthy Town Council said: “Holsworthy Remembrance Parade to take place on Sunday, November 9.

“The parade assembles in the Square, Holsworthy for a 2.30pm start with the parade commencing at 2.45pm and continue from the square, right along Bodmin Street to the Methodist Chapel.

“After arriving at Methodist Chapel the Remembrance Sunday service will be held after which the parade will continue to the War Memorial at St Peter and St Paul's Church, where the wreath laying will commence.

“The parade will continue past the church, turn left at Western Road and around the traffic island, continuing past the War Memorial, along Fore Street and returning to the square to be dismissed. Everyone is welcome to attend.”
