DURING March last year the Molesworth Arms, Pyworthy, hit the headlines when pupils of the village primary school began visiting for their school lunches. Now, the landlady, Denise Short has started supplying lunches to the clients of Holsworthy Day Centre.

For 18 years the clients enjoyed quality meals prepared by their own cook in their own kitchen in the Manor Suite. The Day Centre's move to Holsworthy Hospital last April, however, came soon after a change in NHS policy whereby patients' meals were no longer cooked in the hospital kitchen but imported frozen from an outside caterer and reheated on site.
