A CIVIC ceremony to mark the 50th anniversary of the twinning of two towns will be held later this month.
Holsworthy Town Council has confirmed that the Memorial Hall will play host to the event which is in celebration of half a century of the twinning of the town with Aunay-Sur-Odon.
It was in 1975 that Holsworthy twinned with the French commune, located in the Calvados Department of the Normandy region of North West France and which in 2022 had 3,292 residents.
At the civic event, the reaching of the 50 years twinning milestone achieved will be celebrated with the signing of a new charter between the two towns at the event on May 29, 2025.
