EVENING drivers are facing more than 25 miles of diversions as roadworks get underway along the A388 overnight this week.

The road south of Launceston is closed between 7pm and 6am from Monday, August 10 until Saturday, August 15 between the turning into the B3362 and Treburley.

Highways teams are carrying out resurfacing work on the road.

As a result of the closure, drivers will see more than 27 miles added to their journey.

The division will take drivers trying to reach Callington from Launceston along the B3362 over Greystone Bridge into Devon, down to Gulworthy then back into Cornwall via New Bridge in Gunnislake to Callington.
