This year Launceston College students took part in not one, not two but three of this year’s SongFest concerts, organised by the AsOne music hub.
The Year 7 students sang their hearts out as part of a massed choir of nearly 100 young singers and some of our older singers and musicians provided amazing musical items to inspire those younger learners in the first half of each concert.
Soloists included Annabelle Jeffery, Evie Jeffery, Xavier Martin-Williams, Dan Sobey, Josie Hosking and Rosie Cooksey.
The Launceston College Soul Band, a group made up of some of the most accomplished singers and instrumentalists, wrapped up the first half of each concert with a set of numbers from such soul greats as The Commitments, Otis Redding and The Foundations.
A spokesperson from the school commented: “All those who took part did themselves and the College proud. Very well done one and all!”
