BUDE have been handed a trip to Hampshire next Saturday to take on Alton RFC in the second round of the Papa Johns Community Cup.

The Seasiders, who were handed a walkover by Bristol-based Avonmouth Old Boys in their Counties One South Shield opener, will make the long trip up to the outskirts of Southampton to take on a side that finished 11th in Counties One Hampshire and won just six of their 22 outings.

Bude, who finished tenth in Counties One Western West, but crucially stayed up, haven’t played since March 18 when they ended their campaign with a 36-3 defeat at Tiverton, meaning it’ll have been five weeks since they last played by the time kick-off comes around.
