HOLSWORTHY Reserves were unable to build on their victory over Appledore Reserves as their Premier Division clash at Appledore Lions was postponed.

However the Magpies were in action on Sunday as they made the short trip up over to Kilkhampton in the Launceston Cup quarter-final. They took the lead on the half hour through Aidan Davis, before they doubled their lead when Jasper Presswell beat Leam Powell.

In the Senior Division, Shebbear United upset the form book as they stunned Braunton Reserves 2-1 away from home.

Ben Brace was the hero with a double for the Tangerines.

Putford are through to the Intermediate One Arlington Cup final against Shamwickshire Rovers Reserves after a 3-1 victory over Kingsley Park.

First half goals from Harvey Dack and Liam Ayre put Putford in control, before the visitors halved the arrears just before the break.

However, Will Jeremy’s goal sent the village side through.

Morwenstow, who have been beset by postponements, reignited their promotion push from Intermediate One with a 5-2 victory at Sandymere Blues.

The Greens’ goals came from Jake Gilbert, Mark Skelton, Corrick Davies, Ritchie Armstrong and Michael Dolan.

Halwill were beaten 4-0 at Heavitree United in Division Three of the Devon and Exeter League.
