PLYMOUTH Argyle kicked off their pre-season friendlies with a 1-0 victory over Scottish Premiership side Hearts last night in the sweltering heat at Marbella Football Center.

Sixteen-year-old Freddie Issaka got the only goal of the game with a fantastic finish in the first period, cutting in from the left wing before lashing a brilliant strike into the net at the near post.

It was an encouraging start for the Greens, who play their second game at Plymouth Parkway on Tuesday night.
