ALL four Post area clubs in the newly-revamped South West Peninsula League have found out their fixtures.

Camelford, Callington Town and Launceston will take part in the new Premier Division West with Holsworthy placed in the new Premier Division East.

The Premier Division West season gets underway on Tuesday, August 6 with two matches, although it’s not until 24 hours later that a Post area club get started.

Callington, who are under new management in the shape of Sam Borthwick and Lee Mann following the recent decision of Adam Chidzoy to step down due to work commitments, welcome local rivals Saltash Town to Ginsters Marshfield Parc. They are also in action on the first Saturday of the season as they go to St Blazey.

Launceston get their campaign underway on Friday, August 9 with a visit from Sticker to Pennygillam while Camelford’s first four home games are all on Tuesday nights.

They start their season by welcoming Godolphin to Trefrew Park on Tuesday, August 13 and go to Jake Ash’s Mousehole four days later for a 3pm kick-off.

Callington are the busiest of the Post area teams in August. They play seven fixtures with Camelford and Launceston both in action five times.

As well as the fixtures between the trio, Camelford also renew rivalries with Wadebridge Town. They meet at Bodieve Park on Boxing Day with the return at Camelford pencilled in for the last game of the season on Good Friday (April 10).

As ever, Callington and Launceston square off on those dates with Launceston making the short trip down the A388 on December 26.

Camelford and Launceston meet at Trefrew Park on Saturday, September 7 with the Clarets at home on Saturday, February 22.

Callington and Camelford clash on Saturday, September 21 and April 4 with the Camels hosting first.

Reg Hambly’s Camelford have an interesting start with five of their opening seven games at Trefrew Park before going on the road for five of their next six outings.

Launceston also have plenty of interesting to start. After their opener with Sticker they entertain Wendron United eight days later before going to one of the title favourites Saltash United on Wednesday, August 21.

Their next away game is six days later at St Austell although they have a home date with Cornwall Senior Cup holders Falmouth Town in between.

Callington will have played just under a fifth of their 38 fixtures by August 31. After hosting Saltash they travel to St Blazey on August 10 before visiting Bodmin Town on Wednesday, August 14.

They then welcome Wadebridge Town before another midweek local derby, this time at last year’s Division One (West) champions Liskeard Athletic.

They end the month with treks to Mousehole and Newquay, meaning they’d have already played five of their 19 away games in less than three weeks.

In Premier Division East, Liam Dart’s Holsworthy start with a home game against Newton Abbot Spurs on Saturday, August 10.

With no Bude Town to play this year, their local rivals are Torridgeside and it is there they head to for their first away game three days later.

They round off August with home games against Ivybridge Town, Torrington and Honiton either side of trips to Stoke Gabriel and Elburton Villa.

The Magpies are one of four sides who won’t have to play on Boxing Day.

Instead they’ll travel to Ilfracombe Town on Saturday, December 28 with the return at Upcott Field set for Saturday, April 11, a day after Good Friday.

The draws for the Walter C Parson Funeral Directors League Cup have also been made, which means teams from both East and West can be pitted against each other.

If Holsworthy can get past Torrington on Wednesday, September 18 they’ll travel to Launceston, who along with Callington Town and Camelford, are already into the second round.

Callington entertain Cullompton Rangers having played them in last year’s SWPL Premier while Camelford could face a tricky test when they make long trip to Tiverton to tackle Elmore, who finished fifth in the last ever Division One (East).

Holsworthy’s return to Devon football means they’ll also compete in the Devon St Lukes Bowl.

The county’s more established teams including the likes of Plymouth Argyle, Exeter City and Torquay United will enter in the latter stages with the Magpies given a home clash with Ivybridge Town on Wednesday, September 25.
