Weekend fixtures

THIS Saturday brings with it a full list of football fixtures across all tiers of the game in the south west, and again, players and supporters alike will have their fingers crossed that the sun will shine on the pitches to allow some action to be played.

In the Carlsberg South West Peninsula Premier Callington are home to St Blazey, and Camelford face an away trip to Plymouth Parkway, while in Division One West Holsworthy have a tough home fixture against St Dennis.

The teams that have made it through to the third round of the Cornwall Senior Cup are also in action this Saturday. Amongst the ties, Bude are away to Millbrook and Launceston are away to Saltash United — kick offs for both of which is 2.00pm.

Launceston second team are home to St Dominick in the East Cornwall Premier, while elsewhere in the Premier division St Stephens Borough host Callington Town, Torpoint Athletic host St Teath and Tavistock are home to Plymstock United.

In Division One, Bude Town welcome Camelford and Holsworthy are away to Wadebridge.

In the Duchy Premier division, lowly North Petherwin face a tough task ahead with a trip to league leaders St Minver, while in Division One Grampound host Altarnun and LC Phoenix are home to unbeaten Callington Town.

North Hill play Calstock and St Breward host Lifton in Division Two, while in Division Three High Street host Delabole United and North Petherwin reserves play St Minver reserves. St Teath entertain Southgate Seniors in Division Four, and elsewhere Pensilva are home to Kilkhampton and Padstow are home to St Dennis.

Division Five sees Boscastle travel to Looe Town while Week St Mary host Premier Sixes; and there’s one game scheduled for the Bodmin Sports Trophies League Cup which sees Boscastle up against Rame Peninsula.
