IN-FORM Camelford have the perfect chance to extend their winning sequence to four matches when they welcome Callington Town to Trefrew Park this evening (7.30pm) in the Kit Kitchen South West Peninsula League Premier West.

The Camels have enjoyed a superb seven days, securing midweek away victories at Liskeard Athletic (2-1) and Newquay (3-2) as well as reaching the first round of the Buildbase FA Vase after a 2-1 home victory over Western League Division One outfit Ashton & Backwell United last Saturday.

They welcome managerless Callington, who themselves have picked up since the departure of Lee Mann as they thrashed St Dennis 5-0 last week before securing a highly-creditable goalless draw at home to in-form Bodmin Town in midweek.

The Marshmen will be desperate to continue their quest to get away from the bottom two.

In the same division, Newquay will hope to avoid back-to-back defeats to Post area clubs tomorrow when they make the trip up the A30 to Launceston (3pm).

Launceston eased past Liskeard Athletic by four goals to one on Tuesday night with Tom Ellacott (2), Dan Hart and Mike Steele.

That was their second successive home victory and moved them up to 15th in the table with ten points from nine games, while tomorrow’s opponents are one point better off having played the same number of fixtures.

Holsworthy won’t get the chance to build on the momentum gained by Tuesday evening’s 2-0 victory over Torrington in the League Cup as they have no game in SWPL Premier East. They are in action again on Tuesday night when they welcome Ivybridge Town in the first-round of the Devon St Luke’s Bowl.

Despite falling to a 2-1 defeat at runaway leaders St Austell Reserves last Saturday, Launceston Reserves have started strongly in St Piran League East, currently sitting in fourth place with 13 points from seven games.

Tomorrow they go to tenth-placed Liskeard Athletic Reserves (3pm) who have won just twice in eight matches as well as picking up five defeats.

Elsewhere in the division, neighbours Morwenstow and Bude Town have both started well, although both have tricky tests.

Morwenstow are at home to a Millbrook Reserves side that have seen just 14 goals six matches, but have won three of those.

Bude, in eighth, go to Torpoint Athletic Reserves who themselves have started well with 12 points from six outings.

At the other end of the table, second bottom Callington Town Reserves have a tough task when they welcome St Mawgan to Ginsters Marsh.

Just one of the three Post area clubs in the East Cornwall Premier are in action tomorrow as leaders St Minver travel to Roche.

The clubs met just last Saturday in the first-round of the Cornwall Senior Cup with St Minver edging a seven-goal thriller, 4-3.

St Teath are in action on Tuesday night when they head down to Newquay to tackle Godolphin Atlantic Reserves (7.30pm).

There’s just a small handful of games across the Cornwall Airport Newquay Duchy League due to the first-round of the Cornwall Junior Cup.

In the Premier, early leaders Gunnislake have another tough test when they welcome fourth-placed Tregrehan Mills. Two Post area clubs collide, meeting at Stoke Climsland with Tintagel the visitors.

In Duchy Two, Boscastle Reserves have a home clash with St Eval Spitfires while Lifton Reserves are on their travels at their St Stephen counterparts.

There’s just one game in Division Three as Bude Town Reserves welcome Biscovey.

The Bond Timber Cornwall Junior Cup gets underway with the competition split into East and West for the first two rounds.

In the East, nine Post area clubs are involved with the fixtures involving those teams as follows:

Altarnun v Holywell and Cubert; Lostwithiel v Boscastle; North Petherwin Reserves v Pensilva; St Breward v Morwenstow Reserves; St Mawgan Reserves v Bude Town Reserves; St Minver Reserves v Torpoint Athletic Thirds; Week St Mary v Delabole United.

All of the ties kick-off at 2pm.

Across the border in Devon, there’s a near full league programme in both the North Devon and the Devon and Exeter leagues.

In North Devon Premier, Bradworthy will hope for their first points of the season when they welcome Ilfracombe Town Reserves (2.30pm).

Kilkhampton and Bridgerule are both at home in the Senior Division against Combe Martin and Fremington Reserves respectively.

With Morwenstow Reserves in Cornwall Junior Cup action, Bridgerule Reserves are the only Post area club in action in Intermediate Two as they travel to their Combe Martin counterparts.

All three Post area clubs are in action in Intermediate Three as Ashwater host Park Rangers, Shebbear United Reserves welcome Taw Park and Bradworthy Reserves go to Kingsley Park.

In the Exeter and Devon League, Division Two Halwill will hope to bounce back from their 6-0 defeat at home to Newton St Cyres when they head to East Devon to Otterton (3pm), while in the league below, Halwill Reserves entertain Teignmouth twos with both sides having won one and lost the other of their two fixtures.
