CAMELFORD will hope to bounce back from their 5-0 defeat at Falmouth Town on Wednesday night when they head to leaders St Austell tomorrow in the South West Peninsula Premier West.

The Camels will also have to do without their talisman, Bobby Hopkinson. who suffered a broken leg and dislocated ankle in midweek, which saw the fixture delayed for almost an hour.

Despite the setback, Reg Hambly’s men have been in superb form, winning five league games in a row before, which means they are handily placed in seventh.

Launceston picked up a morale-boosting 3-1 victory over fellow strugglers Wadebridge Town on Tuesday night, thanks to a brace from Ruben Kane and skipper Josh McCabe’s header. They make the long trip to Penlee Park to tackle Penzance, who were held to a 2-2 draw by Porthleven on Wednesday evening.

The Magpies are 14th, one place and two points ahead of the Clarets.

Another battle towards the bottom sees Callington Town head to Godolphin Atlantic (Newquay).

The G Army will hope for a repeat of last Saturday’s crucial 2-1 success over Launceston, while 18th-placed Cally, could join the Newquay-based club on 11 points with a win.

In Premier East, Holsworthy have no fixture until Tuesday night when they welcome Torridgeside to Upcott Field (7.30pm).

Bude Town, Callington Town Reserves and Launceston Reserves will all compete in the first-round of the inaugural Kernow Stone League Cup tomorrow.

The competition, which is for clubs in the St Piran League, throws up two East v West ties as Bude host St Day and Hayle host Callington. High-flying Launceston Reserves welcome East leaders St Austell Reserves to Pennygillam.

Bude’s reward would be a home clash with Falmouth Town Reserves or St Dennis Reserves, while Callington could host Helston Athletic Reserves or their Saltash United counterparts.

Launceston face a long trip to either Illogan RBL or Wendron United Reserves if they can get past St Austell.

Morwenstow’s first-round tie at Liskeard Athletic Reserves has been scheduled for next Saturday, with the winners going to either Wadebridge Town or Polperro.

The three Post area clubs in the East Cornwall Premier League, St Minver, North Petherwin and St Teath are all in action tomorrow.

Fourth-placed St Minver host eighth-placed St Dominick knowing that a win and defeats for the top three will guarantee they finish the afternoon on top.

Along with the Doms, North Petherwin have played the least — six — but have done well in winning three and losing three — they welcome Newquay Reserves who have had 12 outings, winning just two and drawing four.

A Badgers victory means they’d move into the top ten.

St Teath have a vital game at the bottom as they head to Plymouth Marjon Reserves. Both sides just have a solitary victory to their name in a very congested bottom six, which is separated by just three points.

The next round of fixtures in the Cornwall Airport Newquay Duchy League Cup group stages take place tomorrow, with the top two of the three or four-clubs from each going through to the knockout stages.

In the Knockout Cup, Premier side St Breward head to Division One outfit Foxhole Stars Reserves in Group C while Foxhole’s league rivals St Minver Reserves travel to Saltash United Thirds in Group F.

Tintagel get their Group G campaign underway with a match at fellow Post area club Lifton, who lost their opener.

In the Shoe Boy Duchy League Cup for sides in divisions two and three, Division Two leaders Southgate Seniors could take a big step towards qualification if they beat St Cleer Reserves at Launceston College Playing Fields. They have won their opener with Roche losing to St Cleer and Southgate.

It’s a similar story in Group D as unbeaten clubs Grampound and Boscastle Reserves square off in Mid Cornwall. St Eval have played two, losing to both teams.

Delabole welcome Gunnislake Reserves looking to make it two wins from two. Gunnislake also beat North Hill, so if a victory is managed by either team, they will have one foot in to the next round from Group E.

Lifton Reserves can join their North Petherwin counterparts on four points when they head to St Mawgan Reserves in Group F.

St Mawgan lost 5-3 at the Badgers, who also earned a share of the spoils at Lifton on match-day one.

Bude Town Thirds head to St Columb Major looking to join local rivals Week St Mary on three points in the second fixture in Group H.

Week St Mary won 3-1 at home to St Columb in the first group game back in September.

There are also four league games tomorrow in the Duchy divisions.

St Newlyn East head to leaders Gunnislake knowing that a win will see them move to within a point and with a game in-hand.

Nearby, Stoke Climsland can also join St Newlyn East in piling the pressure on Gunnislake when they host St Merryn, who have lost all six fixtures so far.

Week St Mary will move up to fourth in Division Two if they can win at third-placed Nanpean, while at the other end of the table, struggling North Hill entertain mid-table St Eval Spitfires.

Across the border, Bradworthy will hope to move into the third-round of the Paramount Personnel Devon Premier Cup when they welcome Tavistock Association.

The original tie scheduled for last Saturday was postponed due to the weather, but the North Devon Premier side face a tough task against the Devon South/West high-flyers.

Halwill, second in Macron Devon and Exeter League Division Two, head to Winchester from two leagues above in the second-round of the Firewatch Devon Senior Cup. They will hope to join near-neighbours Holsworthy Reserves and Shebbear United in the last 32, which is being played on Saturday, November 2.

In the A&S Paving Devon Intermediate Cup, after last weekend’s cancellations, the ties involving Ashwater and Shebbear United Reserves have been reversed, meaning Shebbear now entertain East Devon side Culm United Reserves, while the Yellows now have to head to Hartland Clovelly Reserves.

There’s an exciting derby to look ahead to in the North Devon League Senior Division tomorrow as leaders Holsworthy Reserves — with 15 points from a possible 15 — welcoming neighbours Shebbear United, who picked up four points from their two games.

Winless Morwenstow Reserves have another tough task on their hands when they entertain Kingsley Wizards while in the same division (Intermediate Two), Bridgerule Reserves travel to their Northam Lions counterparts.

In Division Three of the Macron Devon and Exeter League, Halwill Reserves entertain University of Exeter fifths.
