BUDE have won three of their last four games to kickstart their season, and the Seasiders will hope to continue that form tomorrow when they head to Paignton in Counties One Western West.
The Cornishmen saw off Falmouth and Wiveliscombe before losing at title-chasing Kingsbridge, but bounced back with a 32-26 success over fourth-placed Tavistock last Saturday.
Like Falmouth, Paignton only avoided relegation last term due to nobody going down, but the Cherry and Whites have been much-improved this term, typified by last week’s brilliant 30-29 success at Kingsbridge.
They have won four and drawn one of their eight outings and sit fifth with 23 points, seven ahead of Bude.
The Seasiders travel to the Devon coast with a shortage of front-row options as Fraser Martyn, Matt Williams and Chris Allin are all missing.
Martin George comes in to replace Martyn with Williams’ place going to Alex Robinson.
Elsewhere in the pack, Lewis Jones comes in at flanker for Ben Tharme, while the other change is in the backs as winger Rory Hodges replaces outside-centre Ed Hilliam-Cooke, with Zerran Hammond taking the 13 shirt.
Bude Seconds are also in action as they welcome Lankelly-Fowey in Counties Cornwall Three.
Bude had to concede last weekend’s trip to St Austell Thirds, but have plenty of numbers this week in a 21-man squad.
