FOURTEEN volunteers gave up their time on Saturday, April 13, to help at the ‘Chilsworthy Village Clean Up’, organised by Holsworthy Hamlets Parish Council.
On a thankfully dry, if somewhat blustery, Saturday morning the volunteers came out in force to clean up their parish.
They were: Rob Hore, Ray Fursdon, Alastair Clements, Julia Foster, David West, Ruby Martin, Martin Gainsbury, David Campbell, Tim Watson, Chris Carroll, Tim Penny and Adam Foster, aged eight, and Eleanor Foster, aged ten.
The volunteers were treated to bacon rolls and hot dogs in the village hall once they had finished working and thanks were expressed to David and Christine Campbell for cooking the food.
Holsworthy Hamlets Parish Council is organising a second village clean up event on Saturday, April 27, on the other side of the parish in Staddon Road and Chasty, starting at 10am at Higher Shorston. All volunteers will be very welcome.
