A great time was had by all who attended the Evening of Song hosted by Launceston Lions in the Town Hall.

The show included excellent performances from Plymouth Military Wives Choir and the Boscastle Buoys.

Following the “very enjoyable and entertaining” Evening of Song at the Town Hall, the Launceston Lions received a message of thanks from the Plymouth Military Wives Choir.

They said: “We were absolutely delighted to return to performance post COVID.

“We were invited to perform at Launceston Town Hall by our wonderful friends, Launceston Lions.

“As ever, we were looked after very well by our hosts and were joined by the outstanding Boscastle Buoys.

“What an absolute pleasure to return to the stage in the beautiful Town Hall, and to perform to such an appreciative audience really was incredible.

“It is wonderful to be back to it. Thank you to all who made our return so memorable. We look forward to many more.

“Much thanks and gratitude to everyone.”

The Boscastle Buoys also said they enjoyed working with the girls of the Plymouth Military Wives Choir and expressed how much they enjoyed being able to join them at the end when they closed with ‘Trelawney’ and ‘Land of Hope and Glory’. They said enjoyed being at the Town Hall for their first post COVID concert.

Lions President Christine Rowe adde: “The Lions would like to thank everyone who supported this enjoyable events, either by attending or donating  goods and prizes for the raffle.”
