After a dreadful fire in October that destroyed the Christmas shop at Cedar Croft Nurseries, St Tudy, owner Mark Orchard has worked day and night to get things ready for opening this weekend, November 26.

Visitors will see some changes as Mark has rearranged the site and set up at one of his greenhouses.

He will be opening every weekend from 8.30am to 5pm until noon on Christmas eve, and in order to support those feeling the squeeze this year, Mark has made sure there is an affordable range of home-grown Christmas trees and.

Mark said: “It’s been full on. I have managed to secure replacement equipment and other growers have rushed to help with netting.

“With all the bad news with the cost of living challenges I want to help. I have reduced our tree prices to below 2021 levels – all of us at Cedar Croft want you to have a cracking Christmas with a real Cornish- grown Christmas Tree.

“You will see a few changes. Many of you know that in October a fire broke out in our Christmas shop which has been completely destroyed.

“Unfortunately this contained most of our Christmas stock and some 30 years of our business including assets like signs, tills and equipment.

“We have had a lot of support so really pleased to say we are ready for opening – but we ask that you are patient as we have had to dramatically reformat how we manage.

“Our team are back to help make sure you chose your perfect Christmas tree grown here in Cornwall but please be patient”.

Mark added: “You can wander through our Christmas wonderland and choose your tree. Paths are wide enough for disabled access and well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

“Nadelik Lowen to you all!”
