ONE cadet from the Holsworthy detachment of the Army Cadet Force (ACF) received their air rifle pass badge recently.
Cadet Lydia Girdler received her air rifle pass badge from detachment commander Lt Jim Harvey following a successful shoot during a training session held at Holsworthy Youth Centre.
Lt Harvey said: “We are able to run an additional training evening which at present is concentrating on air rifle marksmanship training and shooting and our Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Physical Acheivement section. Cadet Girdler has done very well surpassing the required pass score by 15 points.”
Access to completing the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and marksmanship training are just two of the many opportunities available to young people from 12 years of age who choose the ACF as their hobby.
