PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council in North Cornwall and Torridge District Council in Torridge.
Vehicle licence applications
A BUSINESS based in St Giles on the Heath has applied to use its premises as an operating centre for a heavy goods vehicle.
M J and V J Hutchings of Nellie’s Barn, Box Shop Farm, St Giles on the Heath, Launceston, PL15 9SA have applied to the Traffic Commissioner seeking to use their premises at Nellie’s Barn, Box Shop Farm, St Giles on the Heath, Launceston, PL15 9SA as an operating centre for one goods vehicle (and no trailers).
Owners or occupiers of land, which includes buildings near to the proposed operating centre who believe that their use of enjoyment of that land would be affected are invited to make representations to the Traffic Commissioner within 21 days of February 11, 2026.
Elsewhere, Quatra UK Limited, trading as Quatra of Unit 5, Segro Perivale Park, Horsenden Lane South, Perivale, Greenford UB6 7RL is applying for a licence to use Unit 6J, Course View, Kennards House, Launceston PL15 8QE as an operating centre for five goods vehicles and one trailer.
Owners or occupiers of land, which includes buildings near to the proposed operating centre who believe that their use of enjoyment of that land would be affected are invited to make representations to the Traffic Commissioner within 21 days of February 10, 2026.
A copy must also be sent to the applicant at their listed trading address.
