PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council in North Cornwall and Torridge District Council in Torridge.
Amendment to licence application
AN application for the variation of a premises licence has been submitted to Cornwall Council for a business in Bude.
Upstairs Limited have submitted a licence application for the variation of a premises licence for their property at 20A Belle Vue, Bude, EX23 8JL.
As part of the present requirements for the licensing of the sale and consumption of alcohol, businesses are required to advertise their proposals in a local newspaper in order that residents can be informed and make representations in respect of it.
In this application, Upstairs Limited are seeking to vary their licence with the removal and addition of conditions to their present licence.

Road closures
LAUNCESTON: The B3257 in Coads Green is set to be closed between October 27 and October 31 in order to enable works to be undertaken to install new water mains for a new development in the area.
LAUNCESTON: Windmill Hill is set to be closed between October 27 to October 31 in order to undertake fire hydrant repairs.
WIDEMOUTH BAY: The road from Marine Drive to Coppathorne, Marine Drive and Coast Drive in Widemouth Bay, Bude is set to be closed between November 10 and November 21 between 7.30am and 5pm in order for carriageway surface repair works to be undertaken.
BUDE: Lansdown Road is set to be closed between November 16 to November 18 between Number 4, the Strand and the junction with Lansdown Close in order to enable water connection works.
