PLANNERS have been asked to approve the change of use of land and the siting of a tepee for camping use, together with a new toilet and shower block on land east of Culloden Dairy, College Road, Camelford.

Bungalow unlikely

PLANS to erect a self-build bungalow at Redway Farm, Kilkhampton are unlikely to gain officer support according to pre-application advice.

Development officer, Lorraine Lehan said that the location was not considered to be within a settlement.

Hotel owners want second floor

THE NEW owners of the Karenza Hotel in Flexbury Avenue, Flexbury, Bude have asked for planning advice on plans to extend the accommodation by adding a second floor to provide a further six guest bedrooms with a lift.

Cornwall Council has said that the scheme could receive officer support providing it does not give any significant rise in harm to neighbour amenity.

Cottage refused due to location

PLANNING permission has been refused for a cottage to be built in the grounds of Treven Cottage, St Clether, Launceston (see front).

Planners said the proposed new home would introduce residential accommodation at a location with poor accessibility to necessary daily services and facilities which would perpetuate over reliance on the private vehicle and unsustainable traffic movements.

THIRTEEN homes for affordable rent have been given the go-ahead on land east of Oakdene on Edgar Road, Wainhouse Corner, Bude.

Housing development near Wainhouse Corner

Cornwall Rural Housing is developing the land on the outskirts of Wainhouse Corner towards Jacobstow. To the south of the site there is a tourist park and to the west a group of modern bungalows.

The development will include two one-bed two-person bungalows; one two-bed four-person bungalow; two one-bed two-person houses; five two-bed four-person houses and three three-bed five-person houses.

Playground granted in Tetcott

A NEW playground for The Arscott Hall in Tetcott, Holsworthy has been given planning permission to include a playhouse, slide, climbing frame and swings in a fenced compound.
