THE Holsworthy Community College gymnastics team dedicated this year’s performance to a former member, who sadly lost her battle with cancer.
Imogen Frost had attended the Holsworthy Gymnastics Club regularly with her sisters, Rebecca, Amanda and Penny.
Joanne South and Jackie Priest, on behalf of the club, said: “We were saddened by the loss of one of our gymnasts Imogen Frost. Imogen and her sisters Rebecca, Amanda and Penny have all attended our club since they were very small.
“We watched the struggle all the family went through during Imogen’s treatment, then the great loss they suffered after Imogen lost her fight against the tumour.”
When she lost her fight, the gymnastics club decided they would do something to raise money for CLIC Sargent in her memory.
Joanne and Jackie said: “Every other year, as a club, we perform a show in front of family and friends in which all our gymnasts take part.
“This year we performed ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ and asked for donations in memory of Imogen to CLIC Sargent and equipment for the gym club. We were so proud to present a cheque for CLIC Sargent.”
They raised £230 for the charity.
