ARMY Cadets at Holsworthy have celebrated the six-year membership of Cpl Edward Girdler who finished recently having turned 18.

Edward was presented with a personalised ‘memory photo book’ detailing moments and achievements from his time as an Army Cadet.

Edward, currently an apprentice engineer with John Deere at Smallridges, said that he had really enjoyed his time at the detachment and would miss being part of the ACF.

His mother Carol Girdler added: “Edward has really enjoyed being an Army Cadet and his time has given him so many life skills and qualifications.

“I thoroughly recommend any child to join the ACF and have a great time and rewarding experience.”

Holsworthy ACF parades on Mondays from 6.30pm to 9.30pm at the youth centre and is now looking to recruit new members from 12 years of age.
