A NUMBER of Launceston residents will be looking for a deep cleaning service, after a truck sprayed something foul over cars and houses in the area.

Residents are dealing with a bad smell after what appears to be “food waste” was sprayed from a lorry.

The lorry, travelling along St Thomas Hill, at around 3.20pm on August 21, covered surrounding vehicles and houses with the brown waste, following what many are assuming is a fault with its tanker.

As a result, nearby drivers were forced to contend with a rain of brown sludge falling onto - and in some cases into - their vehicles.

Residents have complained that the area is now filled with an unpleasant smell.

Cornwall Council have reportedly been notified and a clean up requested.
