Later this month, Holsworthy Rotary are once again staging their highly successful ‘Charity Extravaganza’.

These variety shows were originally the idea of local man and Rotary member Ian Parker, and started in 2003. The seventeen shows staged since then have been really well supported. They have raised more than £35,000, nearly all of which has been donated to local charities and good causes.

The Extravaganza has been able to showcase a lot of local talent and some performers have moved on to professional careers.

This year’s show includes two bands, two young singers, a magician, a music-hall act, a ventriloquist and a spectacular showstopper from the members of H.A.T.S.

A spokesman for Holsworthy Rotary said “After the restrictions of COVID, it’ll be wonderful to be back again in front of a live audience. We very much enjoy putting on these shows and I’m sure that this year’s Extravaganza will be as good as ever.”

It takes place in the HATS Theatre in Bodmin Street at 7.30pm on Friday, March 24.

Tickets, £10 each, are available from Woolacotts in The Square, Holsworthy.
