ON April 2, 1949, Henry and Grace Sillifant were

married at Clawton Chapel, so last week they celebrated their Diamond Wedding Anniversary.

They are both clients of Holsworthy Day Centre and, on Friday afternoon, to their great surprise and

surrounded by their family and friends, a party was arranged for them in the Manor Suite, with The Sundowners there to serenade them.

For the first part of their married life, they lived at Boyton where Henry was a farm worker and Grace was the local post lady. Later, they moved to Holsworthy where Henry became a lorry driver for Thomas Oke and later for South West Water.

They have three children and five grandchildren. They both agreed that they have had and still have a happy and healthy life and that the secret of their long married life has been "a little give and take."
