MORE than 130 beekeepers from branches across Devon attended Holsworthy Beekeepers' annual Spring Convention recently.

The event has become increasingly popular and, this year it was moved to Holsworthy Memorial Hall to cater for the demand.

Around 130 representatives from 14 branches attended the event to listen to talks and share advice.

Holsworthy Spring Convention is renowned for the quality of its speakers, and this year was no exception. Philip McCabe ventured over from Ireland to give two lectures on spring and summer apiary management, captivating the audience with his incisive and thought provoking wisdom, mixed with amusing anecdotes.
