THE programme of fundraising across 2026 for the mayor’s chosen charities has got off to a strong start in Holsworthy.

At the mayor’s charity coffee morning, £256.30 was raised for the two charitable causes, Holsworthy Museum and Holsworthy Football Club.

As well as hot drinks and treats, attendees took part in a raffle and tombola while there was also market stalls.

A spokesperson for Holsworthy Town Council said: “Holsworthy Town Council started the new year with the mayor’s charity coffee morning. The event featured a raffle, market stalls and a tombola and was well supported by the community. A total of £256.30 was raised in aid of the mayor’s charities for 2025/26: Holsworthy Museum and Holsworthy Football Club.”
