WITH the August Bank Holiday arriving, for the people of Bude it meant only one thing — time for Lifeboat Day 2025.
Each year the event attracts the crowds for a day of fun and fundraising and this year was no different! With the sun shining and a good cause at its heart, the occasion was a success, hosting a variety of events and performances for attendees to enjoy.
The highlight for many is the annual duck race, hosted by the town’s Rotary Club, which made a return again this year.
Organisers are hoping that this year’s event can mimic the success of 2024 - which coincided with the RNLI’s 200th anniversary - where residents raised a huge sum in excess of £42,000.
