THE efforts of a community group in Bridgerule has been praised by its local councillor.

Cllr Nigel Kenneally, the Torridge District Council member for Milton and Tamarside, hailed the team behind the Bridgerule Community Garden Project after visiting them on their open day.

The project aims to create a space to grow, connect, build a community and help prevent loneliness.

He said: “It was a real privilege to pop in and see the Bridgerule community garden project for their open day.

“What the folks there have achieved really goes to show what can be accomplished when a community comes together.
