TAKE the night off from Christmas preparations and join Launceston Choral Society for some pre-Christmas quality carolling at 7.30pm on Saturday, December 13, in Launceston Central Methodist Church.
This year the society is celebrating Sir John Rutter, distinguished composer of many popular modern carols, who turned 80 this year.
There will be carols old and new, some familiar and some not so, combined with seasonal readings and a chance to join in the singing. Mince pies, hot drinks and fellowship to follow.
Tickets price £10 are available from David Parish Menswear, choir members, on the door or by phone on 01566 772701. School age children are free. There will be a retiring collection in aid of St Petroc’s, a Cornish charity working to end homelessness in Cornwall.
