THE suicide bereavement charity Pete’s Dragons received a visit from actor Jennifer Saunders and a film crew from ‘Countryfile’ recently.

Having received Comic Relief funding throughout the year to furnish their treatment and therapy rooms the charity were chosen to be filmed for a segment during the popular Sunday programme in the run up to this year’s ‘Comic Relief’.

Filming took place at the charity’s headquarters on Exeter Road, Exmouth with other parts featuring the beach and the ‘Exeter Forest School’, where Pete’s Dragons regularly take family groups as part of their bereavement support service.

Alison Hill charity CEO said: “The charity were delighted to be chosen for this opportunity to highlight the fantastic benefits that Comic Relief funding can bring to local organisations.

“It was a pleasure for both the Pete’s Dragons team and our beneficiaries to be able to meet Jennifer and explain to her the charities purpose and achievements.”

The programme was aired on Sunday, March 19 on BBC1.
