POLICE received a report of a rolled car on the A3072 near Holsworthy, towards Bude at around 10.20pm last Thursday.

The initial report was just for minor injuries. However, on police arrival the injuries appeared to be more serious — the occupant, a 17-year-old man from Holsworthy, had sustained neck and back injuries so the ambulance was called.

The decision was finally taken to call in the air ambulance and have the casualty airlift to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth due to a complex shoulder injury.

The casualty was picked up by air ambulance at the Holsworthy football pitch nearby.

The car involved in this incident was a black Ford Fiesta.
