PLANS for a much-anticipated Tesco superstore in Camelford are set to change.

The plans, which have been subject to a consultation, are set to be amended prior to the submission of planning permission to build the store.

Camelford Town Council members heard at a recent meeting that it was due to the project costs exceeding the budget cap Tesco has for new stores.

Minutes from the meeting noted: “The project costs have exceeded cost cap for store of that size and (Tesco) have changed plans to bring in budget. Due to be reviewed by Tesco board, if approved, plans to be submitted to Cornwall Council in next couple of months.”
