An official unveiling of six benches created from a 80-year-old tree which fell in a storm has taken place in Bude.

The six 'wave themed' benches were placed across the town, with the unveiling taking place where the locally famous 'triangle tree' was located until it fell during Storm Eunice.

The benches were made from the Monterey Cyprus tree by Atlantic Makers, a local collective.

Residents decided to honour the tree's legacy with a sculptural creation which aimed to capture the 'true spirit' of Bude.
