On Thursday, March 10, Darren Cornish delivered a lifesaving skills session at Bude Primary Academy Juniors to the Year 6 pupils.

This was funded by the charity Jay’s AIM. The children said that the hands-on session was “fun and informative”.

A school spokesperson added: “They felt that they are now more confident with knowing what to do if they ever came across an unconscious casualty as well as knowing how to make the situation safe. One pupil said it left them feeling inspired.”

Staff also attended the resuscitation and defibrillation training as Bude Primary Academy has an onsite defibrillator fully funded by Jay’s AIM.
