SEOTesting.com, a Bude-based search engine optimisation (SEO) tool designed to help customers increase search traffic from Google, has become one of the first companies in the UK to integrate with OpenAI’s ChatGPT API.

SEOTesting say their customers can now harness the "limitless possibilities" offered by ChatGPT, ranging from saving time by automating menial tasks like writing webpage titles and descriptions to receiving artificial intelligence assistance on content ideation and production.

Nick Swan, founder of www.SEOTesting.com, said: “We chose to integrate ChatGPT into SEOTesting shortly after the announcement of API access and we’ve already received great feedback from customers. We envisage ChatGPT saving our customers a huge amount of time, as well as helping them with ideation for their or their client’s websites.

“We’ll continue to integrate ChatGPT into our software in more ways over the coming weeks and it’s already clear that the decision was a no-brainer.”

OpenAI announced the release of API access to ChatGPT on March 1 to help monetise the meteoric popularity of the artificial intelligence chatbot, allowing businesses to build ChatGPT tech into its existing apps, products and websites.

SEOTesting.com is a remote-first business based in Bude. It was founded by Nick, who has been working in SEO since 1998 and was joined by technical co-founder Phill Duffy in September 2021.

The company raised £120,000 in early-stage investment last year to further product development and marketing.

The online tool was first released in April 2020 and has quickly built a customer base of more than 350 customers. This includes other global businesses such as Lenovo, L’Oreal, Unilever, Shopify, Canva and Carwow, as well as being used by in-house SEO professionals, digital agencies and content-based websites.
